Instructions for
Downloading and Personalizing Invitation
on Microsoft Word
or Microsoft Publisher
You will need:

Heavy white paper
8˝” x 11”) You will get better quality images if you use paper
designed for printing invitations (available at office supply
stores).

Coordinating
envelopes 5” x 7” (Test invitation first – you may want a different
size)

Click on the
Russian Invitation link to access the invitation image.

As you cursor
over the image, a small rectangular box with four icons should
appear. As you cursor over the first icon, it should say “save this
image”. Click on the icon to save the image as a picture.

Open a blank
Word document.

Click on File,
Page Set-up. Set the top, bottom, right and left margins to 0. You
will get a message that says that the margins are set outside the
printable area of the page. Click on Ignore.

Click on
Insert, Picture, From File. Find where you stored the invitation
image and click on it to insert.

Once it is
inserted into your Word document, click on the image and drag the
corners of the image to resize the image. Size it to fit into a 5”
x 7” envelope, or whatever envelope size you choose.

From the
Drawing menu, open a text box. Position it over the personalized
information you wish to change. Set the font to Kunstler Script 20
point. (If your computer does not have the Kunstler Script font,
choose another font that complements the invitation. Also, you may
have to adjust the size of your font based on the size you choose to
make your invitation) Choose a centered format (as opposed to
justified right or left). Type in your personalized information.
If there is a line around your text box, go to the Line icon
(usually indicated by a paintbrush) on the Drawing menu. Choose No
Line.

Save the
document.

Print a test
copy. You will get another message telling you the margins are set
outside the printable area and asking if you want to continue.
Click on Yes.

Decide if you
like the placement. If not, go back and adjust it by resizing or
moving the image.

If it looks
OK, print it on a sheet of heavy white paper. Trim to appropriate
size.

Repeat the
process with the menu.
